Chances are when you are asking yourself that question you are talking about Dave Brubeck. Leading the Dave Brubeck Quartet, Brubeck managed to fuse piano and woodwind instruments like clarinet and saxophone with traditional jazz piano and bass lines. His music has been featured everywhere. Brubeck may not have produced as much as some of his contemporaries but his legacy is unparalleled.
